With its full and varied programme, the Leipzig Veterinary Congress offers a unique forum for further professional development, discussion and an exchange of experiences for veterinarians, veterinary assistants, students and representatives of industry. In 2012, too, the congress programme is marked by its up-to-date content and variety. In more than 300 lectures, seminars, workshops and professional development courses, the congress covers all areas of veterinary practice. The spectrum ranges from horses, dogs and cats to ruminants, pigs and poultry as well as to more broadly applicable topics such as medicines and toxicology, food safety, the law - and includes animal protection and animal diseases and epidemics. Alongside the national congress, the "International Conference on Equine Reproductive Medicine" (ICERM) will again become a cornerstone of the event. About 150 exhibitors are expected at the industrial exhibition 'vetexpo'. On show at the trade fair will be products from the fields of medicines and toxicology, diagnostics, dietetics, medical technology and practice management as well as communications technology in veterinary practice. Visitors can also look forward to some attractive evening events; the legendary IDT Congress Party, various termly meetings and the Leipzig meeting of veterinary surgeons offer opportunities for a convivial get-together. |
