Exhibition capacities. The Leipzig exhibition grounds contain five interconnected exhibition halls, each with an area of 20,500 square metres. Glass Hall The Glass Hall - the heart of the exhibition grounds - is directly connected with the exhibition halls and the Congress Center Leipzig. The Glass Hall is the entrance gate to the grounds. It contains a series of service facilities, a restaurant under ever-green magnolia trees, as well as various event and presentation areas. Hall 1 With a clear height of 12 metres, and 16 metres at the centre of the hall, Hall 1 is particularly well suited for high stand structures and extraordinary architectural structures. Also, with a distance of 75 metres between columns, Hall 1 is well suited for special events and large events (sports, shows and concerts). Halls 2 to 5 Halls 2, 3, 4 and 5 feature clear heights of 8 metres, and can be divided into two segments. With more than 37 metres between columns, the halls are well suited for generously sized stand projects. Outside exhibition grounds The north side of the Leipziger exhibition grounds features open space of approx. 70,000 square metres. Conventional electricity supply lines are also available in this area. Rail tracks that connect to the public network allow for the exhibition of track-based vehicles, and also facilitate the delivery of particularly heavy goods. Exhibition hall equipment All exhibition halls are equipped with a modern underground system for technical media, such as multimedia and communication, electrical, water and compressed air. The exhibition halls can be darkened completely. Colour-neutral lighting is suitable for TV productions. Each hall contains access areas to the Leipziger Messe online information system. For security reasons, the halls feature sprinkler systems throughout, along with an automatic fire alarm system. Transport logistics All halls feature vehicle access via one of the ten hall doors, and can be reached using the special exhibitor access roads, which are independent of visitor traffic. Numerous doors and entrance routes, wide traffic zones between the halls and a perimeter guarantee optimum transport conditions for quick installation and dismantling. |
