Handelsbörse

This jewel directly in the middle of Leipzig’s city center was used in the 17th century as a meeting place for the city’s merchants, one of these people being the not so insignificant personage of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe whose impressive presence is portrayed in a statue in the forecourt of the Handelsbörse. The main hall with its early Baroque architecture is able to accommodate up to 200 people. We celebrate in the Handelsbörse musical and literary events, scientific lectures, company presentations, conferences, festive receptions and private celebrations.
